14 June: Submit and approve Auto Super batches by 14 June to ensure that they are cleared funds in superannuation accounts by 30 June. To be deductible in the 2023 tax year the funds must cleared in Super accounts by 30 June. Due to the volume of super contributions going through the super clearing houses this earlier date is suggested to allow for processing.
14 July: Due date for STP finalisation for PAYG Withholding employee and Annual Summaries.
31 July: Xero is retiring old versions of reports.
Xero has been two versions of reports for some time now and from 31 July 2023 the old reports will be retired. This will mean that you will no longer have access to their old reports after 31 July 2023.
Not sure whether you are using an old version?
When you search for a report or view an old one, there will be a tag letting you know it’s an old version. Soon Xero will change that tag to say, ‘Retiring 31 July 2023’.
What will happen after 31 July 2023?
- Read-only access to old published and archived reports.
- Inability to run old reports.
- Saved draft reports will be removed.
- You won’t be able to create or edit old report packs.
What we recommend you should do before the deadline
Familiarise yourself with the new reports, click on the accounting menu in Xero, then select reports.
