Kerri Welsh is our principal accountant and Director.

Kerri has extensive experience in all areas of accounting, with expertise in taxation advice and tax planning. She also specialises in business structuring and general management advice.

Kerri has over 30 years of experience and is qualified accountant and CPA, as well as a registered tax agent.

Welsh Tax was established in 2021 to move away from the traditional model of 9-5 to allow for a better work / life balance for herself and her team.

Kerri prides herself on providing a friendly & approachable service focused on empowering clients to understand their taxes and simplifying the process for them easier.

When Kerri’s not at the office you will find her taking landscape photos, testing new recipes, relaxing with friends and family over drinks and listening to music.

Shannon Cook is our Practice Manager, joining Welsh Tax just a short few months after the business was established.  Shannon & Kerri had worked together previously in another Sunshine Coast accounting firm, and she was an important addition to the team at a high growth phase. Shannon brings a wealth of experience with her with over 15 years in the accounting industry.  Shannon overseas and develops our procedures and is always willing to rise to any challenges that she is presented with. Her attention to detail and multitasking skills allows her to juggle decision making, marketing and administration/office management. Thriving on organisation Shannon supports and encourages our team to ensure we can deliver the best outcomes for our clients.

When not at work you will find Shannon spending time with family, taking a walk along the beach or taking time out reading a book.

Elisha has been with us at Welsh Tax since September 2022. With over 15 years of experience in accounts, she started off in bookkeeping and payroll, Elisha quickly discovered a love for understanding how a business operates and functions. This ultimately led her to staring a Bachelor of commerce majoring in accounting.

Working in a large charter firm and large commerce companies Elisha has gained skills in Audit and financial reporting that enables unique experience in understanding both how to bookkeep but account for business structures.

Elisha’s gentle nature and wealth of Xero knowledge has been a valuable addition to our growing team. Her genuine interest in tax was encouraged by her Grandfather who was himself a CA accountant of 50+ years.

When not working, you will find Elisha spending time with her children or enjoying her love of painting.
